Mr & Mrs White

St Bartholomews Church & The old vicarage | 05-08-2016

It was back to St Bartholomews Church for me on Friday 5th August for Steph & Jame’s very special day. But the lead up to this beautiful wedding day started way back in September 2006, when Steph and James met at Cheeky Monkey nightclub whilst on a night out with friends. Steph tells me their first date was spent at the cinema watching the old romantic classic…”The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”!! haha Steph said when Jame’s held her hand on the way out she felt amazing and the rest as they say is history!

The day started at Steph’s family home, we were greeted at the door by Mum Pauline and beautiful little bridesmaid Fara. As you would expect the house was full of happy laughter, flowers and chit chat. I arrived just as our stunning bride Steph jumped into theĀ beauticians chair, as Steph got ready I spent time capturing all these magical moments that happen in the lead up to the wedding. I love doing bridal prep, its a chance to photograph behind the scene and a glimpse into the build up to the main event that the groom and other guests otherwise wouldn’t get to see. Steph was marvellous at keeping everything on track and directing us around the home so that we could photograph the dress, shoes, perfume etc. Time passes so quickly on your wedding day and now the time had come for us to take leave and meet up with groom James and his best man at church. We bid our farewells and then it was off to St Bartholomews in Penn.

It was a beautiful sunny day as James pulled up at church in a fab orange V.W Camper Van, perfect for some quirky photos. It wasn’t long before midday arrived and true to tradition Steph kept her husband to be waiting šŸ™‚ Needles to say the ceremony went without a hitch, James even had a little surprise for Steph and their guests on the bottom of his shoe that caused a few giggles. Then it was done, vows were made and fabulous family groups were taken before it was time to move on and celebrate. The happy couple choose a really wonderful private venue for their reception, The Old Vicarage Hotel near Bridgnorth. The hotel staff greeted our happy couple with a glass of fizz and a canopy, whilst guests mingled and chatted in the sunshine. It really was the perfect day. After a sumptuous meal the speeches were made to the sound of laughter and a few tears. Then a wonderful surprise song from one of the younger guests. The afternoon rolled into the evening until it was time for the first dance everyone hit the dancefloor as we left our happy couple to enjoy the rest of their wonderful wedding day. Thank you Mr & Mrs White for asking me to capture your wedding day, we wish you a very happy, health and prosperous life together.
